I just came across this - A review George Orwell wrote of Hitler's Mein Kampf in 1940. It's worth reading.

Orwell’s article is chock full of piercing insights into the human psyche, and most especially the fascinating and complex factors that can propel a man like Hitler – who put his maniacal views on paper for all to see -- to power. Very thought-provoking, a sobering reminder of how easily each person can be his/her own dupe.
